Somewhat sheepishly, I need to confess I've entered the 21st century. I'll explain. My 18 year old got a new iPod. So that left the old, less high-tech (and therefore, comprehensible) iPod for Mom. Her nickname is Bean, so her iTunes listing became the Bean Pod. Mom's became the Mom Pod. So I put a whole bunch of my music on it, feeling very proud of myself 'cause there are over 100 songs currently on it. The fun thing is, I'm more productive at the writing thing when I'm listening. Doesn't seem to matter whether I'm writing an upbeat section of a story and listening to mellow, soulful music--the opposite is also true. I think it helps me concentrate.
In other news: the publisher who was reviewing MY SILENT HEART called! Yes! Called! They want revisions and a resubmission, so I'm happily working on that now.
If they want a contract next, you'll be among the first to know. VERY LARGE GRIN...
More later.

So does this mean your oldies are nicknamed Golden Pod?
Think about it for awhile, then grab your Cheerios.

Actually, I lost my iPod to south Florida humidity in July. I'm now limited to writing to the music on iTunes, safely installed on my main pooter.
So ends the short, sad, sweet tale of the Golden Pod...I may simply have to go out & get a new one.
Just found your blog and enjoyed my time here! ~ Vicki
